See That They Lack Nothing
The final instructions and greetings at the end of Titus tell us a lot more than the movements of a handful of ancient people. In this sermon, Pastor Catlan unpacks the way Scripture gives us details about missions and how the local church ought to support the effort.
Rebuke the Divisive Man
In Titus 3:10-11, we read about how Church leaders ought to handle divisive people. This leads to many questions. What counts as divisive? Who is responsible for warning and rebuking the divisive man? How can excommunication be a good thing? In this sermon, Pastor Catlan unpacks the truth of Titus 3:10-11 to show how God loves His church so much that He gave us systems to keep the focus on Him.
Avoid Foolish Controversies
Which sorts of arguments and disagreements are profitable and which are unprofitable? When should we argue our position on a matter and when should we avoid the conflict? Titus 3:9 speaks to those sorts of controversies, dissentions, and quarrels, but how do you apply this text? In this sermon, Pastor Catlan explains how to use Scripture to help unlock the wisdom of Titus 3:9.
Insist on Good Works
How pushy should leaders in the church be in Christians’ personal lives? What sorts of things should leaders be addressing in the lives of the Church? Titus 3:8 is a helpful passage for these questions as Paul tells Titus to insist on certain trustworthy things that bring about good works. In this message, Pastor Catlan explains how Christians should desire leaders who insist and the fruit of that should be beautiful works.

Man’s Wickedness, Christ’s Mercy
Every person on earth has a common beginning, and it is very sobering to think about fallen man. In Titus 3:3-5, Scripture reminds us of the fallen condition of man and how that reveals God’s incredible mercy. In this sermon, Pastor Catlan explains why it is good to reflect on who we were before Jesus saved us.
Words Matter, Speak Kindly
In Titus 3:1-2, the Apostle Paul tells Titus to “remind” the church about some basic Christian values. In verse 2 there are 4 basic Christian truths that we all need reminding. In this sermon, Pastor Catlan explains why speaking kindly about people isn’t just a moral matter, but a matter of significant spiritual consequence to our Creator.
Remind Them
Titus 3 begins with the command, "Remind them". Then there is a list of elementary Christian values that must be reminded. In this sermon Pastor Catlan unpacks two of those values: submit to authorities and be ready for every good work.
