Church Leaders are Family Leaders

In Titus 1:5-9 we find 18 qualifications for elders. Verse 6 has several qualifications that focus on a man’s leadership of his family. An elder should be a husband of one wife and his children should be believers. This leads to important questions about elders. Can an elder be single? Does this verse speak to gender or just marital status? Can a divorced man be an elder? How do we know if an elder’s children are believers?
